First Event
The first celebration, and the one that kicks everything off. Expect good drink, drag, karaoke and a dancefloor at the Holiday Inn, Corby. Everyone we love is welcome.

Our Story
We are keeping the engagement low budget as we are saving every penny for the big day. We are doing it our way = Big love, small budget.
That means a party we have poured ourselves into, food cooked with our own hands, and the people we love having in our lives all under one roof. We can not wait to celebrate this first chapter with you all and whoever you bring to celebrate with us.

A Croatian Tradition
Dominik comes from a Croatian family, and over there a gift almost always comes the same way. A little cash, tucked into a beautiful card, sealed in an envelope called a koverta. Bought presents and registries have never really been a thing. Giving money towards a couple as they start their life together is simply seen as the warmest, most practical thing you can do.
There is even a moment for it. Late in the night, when the cake is cut, guests line up to congratulate the couple, hand over their koverta, and grab a drink and a little favour. We loved that so much we wanted to carry a piece of it into our own celebrations. So if you would ever like to give something, a card and a few pounds in an envelope is perfect. It was never about the amount, it is the gesture and the words inside that we keep forever.
Good to Know
Yes — a generous self-catered spread of canapés, snacks, cakes and baked goods, all made by Scott. There's no proper sit-down dinner though, so please have a big lunch beforehand. A menu is coming, and we'll ask you to pick what you'd eat so we cook what people love and waste as little as possible. Drinks are available to buy at the bar all evening.
Cocktail glam for the engagement party — it's a bar, drag and karaoke night, so dress to be photographed and to dance. The wedding dress code will follow closer to the date.
The party itself is at the Holiday Inn in Corby, so it's the easy choice — stay any nights that suit you, anywhere from Friday to Monday. Scott works for Trinity, so we can pass on a discounted room rate at the Inn — but everyone books and pays for their own room separately. Coming earlier or staying longer? You're welcome to stay with us in Thorney, Peterborough — space is limited and first come, first served, with The Rose & Crown in the village as a lovely backup. Thorney's just outside Peterborough, so we'll sort lifts to and from the station (and try to get you to Luton) — just note it on your RSVP.
London Luton (LTN) is the easiest and closest. Most guests fly in Saturday and out Sunday. If you're here Friday to Monday, you can stay with us or we'll help find proper accommodation for the extra nights — just note it on your RSVP.
It's just for fun — nothing's booked. Vote on the world map for where you picture the stag, and register your interest if you'd like to come. The trip is organised by the best men and is self-funded (everyone covers their own share). Once it's planned, proper invitations and the cost per person go out to everyone who's interested.
Honestly, your presence is all we want — we have everything we need at home and we're particular about what we keep. Please don't feel you have to bring anything. The engagement party is our invitation event — if you've had an invite, please come! The stag is a casual, self-funded trip organised by the best men (register interest on the stag page). The wedding in May 2028 is more intimate; we'll be in touch with details. Just tell us your plans on the RSVP.
